Fish-Frog

Only took me three weeks, but it's finally painted.

Not terribly crazy about the paint job, (lol @ noob-me) and the sculpture thing itself could have used some work, but the sculpey I was using had a tendency to become the consistency of slightly stale marshmallow fluff after a while. Still, figure it's not too shabby for my first sculpey-art in ages.

Think I'm gonna make another version of this soon, actually. Gonna tweak the design a bit, maybe go with a different color scheme so it'll actually blend into the environment I was envisioning. Not that I dislike these colors a lot, (based loosely off a northern pike, which Dad thought was the most awesome thing ever) but it wouldn't really be able to hide in the mud too well. XD

So what is this thing, anyhow? It actually started as a doodle in my sketchbook from several months ago -- I hadn't drawn any alien fauna in ages, and that used to be my thing when I was a kid. (Haha wut?) I figure this is what amphibians would look like if they decided not to go on land early in their evolution. Or something. Sort've in-between animal groups as we know them, I guess. I dunno, it was fun. Maybe it eats crustaceans, sensing them out with its whiskers.

Holy cow, how is it not even noon yet?
