This week in OH GOD MAY
Journal Entry: Wed May 21, 2008, 8:38 PM
21 May:Well, no more high school then. Graduated around seven tonight, it was pretty cool. Nice and small, lotta people showed up for it though. Only twenty grads, lol -- first class to make it through, since we're new. Really cool, though. Got my diploma and stuff... gonna be weird not going back next year.
Oh, and if anyone's local, ya might see me in the paper. =3 Won't tell ya who I am, but if my crack self-portrait's any good you might be able to figure it out.
19 May:Update time! To make a long story short, the concert rawked, although in my humble opinion Apocalyptica pwned Metallica, the latter of which took their sweet time getting on stage. ¬_¬ It was fun, though, saw a lotta crazy folks there and OH GOD was it packed. Biggest concert in town in like, thirty years they said, and the first time it ever sold out.
So, onto current events; my aunt's out from Jersey for a few days on account of my graduation and whatnot... Toured the UofA campus and ate out like three times today, it was pretty sweet. Did a lot of shopping, too... Joann was really excited about the 99¢ store, and she ended up spending like twenty-seven bucks there.
I got some AZ iced tea for like 59¢, so I ain't complaining. Love that stuff. Also swung by a Goodwill and got some stuff there... My aunt found some clothes she liked, and I found David Copperfield and and original printing of The Godfather for like three bucks each. =3 I gotta get crackin' on Paradise Lost so I can read Marie and the rest of 'em, though. Oh yeah, almost forgot -- I finally got a new pair of sunglasses today; they're fairly awesome.
Well, back to editing/critiquing WO ch.19 before bed.

16 May:
Dude, gonna see Metallica tonight---late tonight, apparently---and it's gonna rock. Em's being a killjoy, though, since she doesn't actually wanna go... *sigh* Dad needs to learn not to buy her tickets unless she really wants to go, 'cause last year she didn't even show up so he gave her ticket away. But yeah, she just called and asked me to ask Dad if we could show up late. He said that he wouldn't mind missing the first show, but I got the feeling Em wanted to get there like three hours after opening. God, it's gonna be so crowded, in any case... Still gonna rock, though.
I should be cleaning the house some more... My aunt's coming out for my graduation, and we need to clear out the spare room and set up a bed and stuff. I guess the burden of responsibility falls on me, since I'm out of school already and she's coming out Sunday night. Then I'm supposed to watch some kids on Saturday, so I really oughta get movin'.
Figured I'm gonna use inks on that big thing I've been workin' on, so I probably won't be able to really work on it until sometime next week. Maybe Monday, 'cause Aunt Joann's gonna be sleeping off her jet lag and everyone else has places to be. Hopefully that'll get done by mid-week, and I'll keep working on getting that second sketch right.
My shoulders hurt. A lot. Max lifts yesterday were brutal, haha. Oh well, makes me feel stronger. =3 - Mood:
Joy - Reading: Paradise Lost + The Godfather

I have a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell!
Well, was it awesome? I saw your Apocalyptica photos. They are a great band, really wish I could have been there. What about the photos of 'tallica? I NEED THEM! ....NOW! ....please?
Metallica puts their live shows for purchase on their site, I'm going to have to download that show when they upload it in a few weeks (I hope)

Only managed to get three pics of Metallica onstage, but those suck because it was dark and the camera made everything blurry. (That, and it was almost impossible to get anywhere near the stage. O_O) Got some poor-quality vids, though, I'll try to put them on my Youtube page.
Oh yeah, did you buy your tickets in advance or were you planning on getting them at the door?

The perk of being a second-rate artist is that no one wants to steal your crap.
I hadn't bought my tickets yet. I was going to go to a Zia Records in town earlier in the week, as I heard they had them. I saw one decent video on Youtube this morning, the opener of Creeping Death. They sounded great. Man, makes me wish I could have gone. /cry
