I'm shippin' up to NJ (whoa oh oh)

Journal Entry: Wed Jul 16, 2008, 2:37 PM
Whoo! I'm goin' ta NJ for two weeks, gonna fly out tonight. =D I'll more'n likely have internet access, but chances are I won't be hangin' around computers much -- got the beach and swamps to play around in instead. =3

I'll try to get some arting in, bringing paper and what have you, but at the very least you can expect photography when I get back. (Need to cut down on the art-only shots though, eheh...) May even sort out some world-setting stuff, work on that pesky timeline, get some fuinol grammar down, et cetera... Seriously though, my gallery feels so neglected. =\ Hopefully I'll return with something worthwhile -- at the very least, I'm feeling inspired again.

So, see you all at the end of July, take care!

Whoa, I'll have turned nineteen by then... I feel old...

26 June already, dammit
Whoa, 60+ unlooked-at deviations seems like a ton... lol@me for not logging in to check them in like three days. :XD:

Mm, yeah, found me a new favorite game, so that's what I've been doing of late. Barely had to break a five for all that stuff I got at Bookman's... Freaking love that store.

Balthier rocks, by the way -- gotta love that guy.

Jeez, been really slow art-wise, haven't I? This is getting ridiculous...

Ah, 'least I got outta the house this week. Had a friend stay the night Thursday/Friday, stayed up until some ungodly hour watching the first season of Buffy and eating pineapple chunks, that was fun. Went to the mall kinda late yesterday, since our ride ditched on us and I still haven't mastered the stick shift or parking thing yet. Went and saw The Incredible Hulk, that was pretty good -- my friend told me I had to watch Iron Man soon, too, since there was a tie-in and everything. Apparently that was an excellent movie, so I'm planning on spending a Monday or Tuesday at the mall again so I can see it.

Got some books today, too. =D Found the second volume of Parasyte, read that already so my friend could borrow it. Also splurged on some Palahniuk: Invisible Monsters and Stranger than Fiction are now part of my collection. =3 I fear my shelves are approaching their limit... Oh well, coupons beg to be used, and I'm always wanting books. Didn't get a chance to trade in books at Bookman's today, since we got a late start, so maybe I'll do that next week, too, get me some more A/B-trade so I can get even more books! Ha, and that on top of all the manga my friend lent me to read again...

Enough mindless chit-chat, I'm gonna go edit or something. Or make my bed...

Phew, no more orientation days... Sick and tired of waking up around six. XD Got a list of classes and tons of fliers and whatnot to sort through; Can't see my bed for all the papers. Hope I got that one class dropped in time. The college board website is being a butt and not telling me what my password is to my account -- gotta find out if those AP tests were in vain (lol). Oh yeah, got my student ID today, too... Lol@mugshot.

Hm. Got a cicada sitting on my desk... I wanna photograph it, since it's pretty much the first one I've actually seen out here (for reals), but it was too dark for the camera when it was outside. Definitely a lot different than our old Ozark ones. O_o This one is... green and white? Weird -- whoa, it's my HS colors! Ha, awesome.

Gotta stop reading and get to work drawing, lol. And Scrabble. Damn, you, scrabble, for stealing so many hours of my life. ¬,¬

RIP washer -- I'm surprised you lasted as long as you did... But goddamn, didja hafta leak everywhere?

Whoo, it's late, and I have to get up early to go to orientation tomorrow today! Joy!

Art, lol, wut's that? Gah, been having epic all-night reading sessions instead... Somehow I managed to write a practice scene for B1, though. Very curious. May or may not keep it for the final cut (first draft, anyway,) but at least I'm finally getting my feet wet for this summer. Really hard to get started after all this time, but it should get easier.

Since I've been done with Eldest for a while now, I decided to jump into another masochistic adventure with Twilight. May as well, since I've been lurking more on certain anti threads... Oh well, this should be fun, since this one guy is making an anti-style audiobook. XD First chapter's pretty funny so far, and the next should be online in a week or so... can't wait.
Gotta remember the obligatory pimpage.

Oh hell, there's a sun spider on my wall...

7 June
This year is flying by too fast for my taste, I must say...

Anyway, it was time for a new journal. Not doing a whole lot with my ample free time, (except playing Blitzball... best minigame evah) even though I feel like being at least slightly productive this time around. Sleeping in 'til eleven or noon certainly doesn't help though, aheh...

Hm, I should get back to editing ~TheStealthNinja13's story... Been making decent progress in that, at least. Almost done with chapter 21 already, which is good; only twelve chapters left after this one. I love seeing all those file icons slowly disappear into the "edited" folder...

Oh yeah, lol, been kinda picking away at some of my own writing... Mostly just compiling a world encyclopedia, though. (Dork much?) Eh, it's fun -- I get to make up crap like mesltas and stuff. For some reason writing the more primitive races is more fun than the advanced ones... dunno why. Eh, still need to get to work on P:Ter; been going back over outlines and older versions, but I really wanna sit back down and just start over again, do it right this time.

Maybe I should break out those 100 theme challenge pics sitting on my harddrive and finish those, too. Mm, so much stuff to do.

Phew, just got back from the mountain... Had some fun up there, but it was all over too soon. (Shoulda gotten an earlier start.) Did some sketching, took some photos, ate some fudge, hiked a little... Just wish I didn't get carsick to and from the place. DX

26 May
So, new week, new journal. (Eh, why not?) Anyway, new stuff.

Went to the book store a few days ago, picked up FMA 16 (finally) and Parasyte #1... Damn, that is an awesome manga. I mean, seriously, even my sister---who has no interest in manga or graphics novels whatsoever---loves it. Very awesome so far, and I can't wait to pick up the rest.

Gonna try and hit the art hard this summer. I'm starting to kick it into gear with that art nouveau thing I have goin' already, and I wanna go up the mountain to do a bunch of sketches and paintings. Finally dabbling with the digital stuff again, so you might see some of that pop up occasionally. Kinda funny how I keep wanting to work on bigger and bigger canvases... Even 1067x768 or whatever feels small now. O_o

Also gonna start going to the gym again... figure I wouldn't mind losing like ten or fifteen pounds before I start college, if that's possible. Oh well, I love elliptical machines, so it's no bother. Don't like my flabby stomach, uh-uh; need to lose some of that so I can show off my muscles. >=3 *flexes*

This week in OH GOD MAY

Journal Entry: Wed May 21, 2008, 8:38 PM
21 May:
Well, no more high school then. Graduated around seven tonight, it was pretty cool. Nice and small, lotta people showed up for it though. Only twenty grads, lol -- first class to make it through, since we're new. Really cool, though. Got my diploma and stuff... gonna be weird not going back next year.

Oh, and if anyone's local, ya might see me in the paper. =3 Won't tell ya who I am, but if my crack self-portrait's any good you might be able to figure it out. :XD:

19 May:
Update time! To make a long story short, the concert rawked, although in my humble opinion Apocalyptica pwned Metallica, the latter of which took their sweet time getting on stage. ¬_¬ It was fun, though, saw a lotta crazy folks there and OH GOD was it packed. Biggest concert in town in like, thirty years they said, and the first time it ever sold out.

So, onto current events; my aunt's out from Jersey for a few days on account of my graduation and whatnot... Toured the UofA campus and ate out like three times today, it was pretty sweet. Did a lot of shopping, too... Joann was really excited about the 99¢ store, and she ended up spending like twenty-seven bucks there. :XD: I got some AZ iced tea for like 59¢, so I ain't complaining. Love that stuff. Also swung by a Goodwill and got some stuff there... My aunt found some clothes she liked, and I found David Copperfield and and original printing of The Godfather for like three bucks each. =3 I gotta get crackin' on Paradise Lost so I can read Marie and the rest of 'em, though. Oh yeah, almost forgot -- I finally got a new pair of sunglasses today; they're fairly awesome.

Well, back to editing/critiquing WO ch.19 before bed.

16 May:
Dude, gonna see Metallica tonight---late tonight, apparently---and it's gonna rock. Em's being a killjoy, though, since she doesn't actually wanna go... *sigh* Dad needs to learn not to buy her tickets unless she really wants to go, 'cause last year she didn't even show up so he gave her ticket away. But yeah, she just called and asked me to ask Dad if we could show up late. He said that he wouldn't mind missing the first show, but I got the feeling Em wanted to get there like three hours after opening. God, it's gonna be so crowded, in any case... Still gonna rock, though.

I should be cleaning the house some more... My aunt's coming out for my graduation, and we need to clear out the spare room and set up a bed and stuff. I guess the burden of responsibility falls on me, since I'm out of school already and she's coming out Sunday night. Then I'm supposed to watch some kids on Saturday, so I really oughta get movin'.

Figured I'm gonna use inks on that big thing I've been workin' on, so I probably won't be able to really work on it until sometime next week. Maybe Monday, 'cause Aunt Joann's gonna be sleeping off her jet lag and everyone else has places to be. Hopefully that'll get done by mid-week, and I'll keep working on getting that second sketch right.

My shoulders hurt. A lot. Max lifts yesterday were brutal, haha. Oh well, makes me feel stronger. =3
